RESEARCH

One of the chief purposes of AIMS Research is to further the development of research in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine.

AIMS Research currently employs four research assistants (Mr. Erin Parish with Dr Mervyn Cross; Ms. Vivianne Russel and Ms Lucy Salmon with Dr Leo Pinczewski; and Ms. Katie Donnan with Dr David Wood) that work closely with the surgeons and fellows throughout their program.

Research is conducted on an ongoing basis with regular presentations and attendance at a number of annual conferences such as the Australian Orthopaedic Association, Australian Knee Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and many others. Journal articles are constantly produced and submitted to the various international orthopaedic journals such as The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
